Description
While visiting Arizonaโs Grand Canyon National Park (USA), in August of 2017, it provided some incredible scenes for my wife and I. This is the fourth painting from that trip. Our last morning was amazing. We got up early to see the sunrise from Mather Point. At first we were so disappointed as overcast skies looked to completely block out the sun. Most people left. We stayed and were rewarded with spectacular scenes in every direction.
Here we are looking east, as sun rays take our eyes to distant Vishnu and Wotanโs Throne on the horizon. Zoroaster Temple can be seen on the far left, as OโNeill Butte and Cedar Ridge are in dark silhouette. Mornings like this, at a place like Grand Canyon, are mesmerizing and unforgettable.

beautiful work! love the sun rays and the layers of the sides of the canyon. Just awesome. I have been to the Grand Canyon once and hope to return this spring if I can actually get some time out of my job.. it's been keeping me so busy and will probably get worse for a while.. you capture the grandeur and depth of it so well here.
