Description
This is my painting, after an incredible trip that included Sedona, Grand Canyon National Park Arizona, Zion National Park, and Bryce National Park Utah. We were able to share this trip with a dear friend all the way from Macedonia. Her enthusiasm for my art and love of these incredible geologic wonders of what is known as the Grand Circle and Grand Staircase, was just amazing and made the trip a perfect come true for Janet and myself. I always strive to include trees and rocks along the rim just as you would see them along the trail. This area is located between Mather and Yavapai points and features sunlight on some amazing rocks and the distant Cheops Pyramid and Isis Temple with shadows and approaching rain on the rest of the canyon. I hope to continue a series of paintings inspired by this trip. Inspiration is the best source of motivation and creative energy for an artist. Thank you, Eva, for inspiring CANYON DREAMS a PERFECT COME TRUE !
This is a second image of the same painting shot with WARM light. The first was shot in full spectrum 5K light, so one can see how the same painting, same camera, can appear different depending on how it is illuminated in a gallery or at a home.

So dreamy, mystical and soft, yet still supremely detailed. Looks excellent in the warm light. Indeed interesting how light temperature dramatically changes the colors and ambience of a painting!
Jerry Bokowski replied:
For the past few years I have painted by full spectrum 5K flood lights. That way they look fine in full light, sunlight, etc. but also look great in warm 2.5 K to 3.0 K light. Thank you very much, Chance!
Judi Dressler
How beautiful! You are a master at this, Jerry! Love how the colors and detail fade in the distance... l/f
Jerry Bokowski replied:
Thank you so much, Judi. I have such a passion for the canyon and love the challenge of painting it one brush stroke at a time!
Al Brown

So other-worldly, Jerry ... I've stepped into a surreal landscape possibly in another universe! Beautiful colours throughout...& I have to say, I really do love the fresh green trees in the foreground :))
Louise Hill
Gorgeous painting, Jerry. One of my most favorite places I've ever visited and you captured it fabulously!! f/l

Lori Deiter
Very beautiful work and scenery! Love the lighting!
Jerry Bokowski replied:
Thank you so much for mentioning how it is lit, Lori. Although I used a reference pic the lighting is all from my imagination of a storm rolling in!
Heather King
