Description
On a cold, cloudy December morning, Janet and I paused to take in this view of the Grand Canyon near Mather Point. Cloud shadows were dancing across the geologic formations named Cheops Pyramid and Isis Temple. We both love the rugged pine trees along the trail as they frame canyon vistas. This is my nineteenth of a series of Grand Canyon paintings. 40 years ago Janet and I visited this area and the number one song on the radio then was named
Shadow Dancing by Barry Gibb. The name seemed to fit what we saw as the clouds just danced across the vast canyon.

This reminds me of that unique and wonderful mood when, every so often, the overcast sky seems to be harboring a friendly tiff between sun and clouds.. and that surreal, dreamlike atmosphere is created.. I love that.. and I LOVE THIS. A Masterpiece full of paradoxes, like cool and warm, storms and peace... but in perfect harmony.. another big favorite!!
Jerry Bokowski replied:
I enjoyed every word of your kind comment, Danielle. You write as well as you draw...a true artist. Thank you so much!

What a marvelous title to describe this awesome winter's day at the Grand Canyon National Park. The ever changing cloud cover created marvelous shadows that really added to the splendor of Grand Canyon! Oh how I love trees to frame the canyon vistas. One of the many beautiful moments, rendered fabulously in your lovely painting dear Jerry. Well done! LF FB 💕💕💕💕
