Baboquivari Sunrise
Artist
Jerry Bokowski
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
The first spot of the sun rising at the foot of Baboquivari Peak, Arizona, announces a new day. The massive crag humbles puny mortal men as they contemplate creation. Spring flowers just enhance the experience as the air is cool and fresh after an evening rainstorm.

So regal, magical and striking. You've just inspired me to travel out to this sacred mountain when I find the time Jerry. The sky here is phenomenal as is the detail and texture on the mountain. Bravo!
Jerry Bokowski replied:
We just drove by it yesterday, Chance. This painting hangs in a condo at Laguna Shores Mexico. Thank you very much. You will enjoy some great photo ops with this awesome peak!

~ I can only imagine the lovely morning petrichor after an evening rain storm, dear Jerry !!! Combined with the feeling of being in this Spectacular place,... it's a gift for all the senses ))) Such a DeLightful Piece of Art my dear one ))) ~

The desert does smell wondrous during a morning like this, Eva. This was made soon after I resumed painting after a long hiatus. Nick and Missy liked it so it now hangs in their home in Mexico. Thank you so much for travling through my work to find this!

It has always been a favorite of mine. I always loved the beautiful colors, especially the clouds which are a favorite of mine. One of the things that I love so much about your artwork are the wonderful clouds and sky. I love clouds and they love me. So says the cloud whisperer!! So now Nick and Melissa get to enjoy it in their beautiful condo in Mexico! πAnd favorite it!! ππππ you!!
Jerry Bokowski replied:
It is nice that my own family has always appreciated my work. That it adorns their homes. Thank you, dear Janet Marie, for always believing in my work when I have doubted myself at times. It is nice to see when we visit their homes!

Oh this is so wonderful Jerry, the pink colour cast upon Baboquivari Peak from the clouds lends a very magical/surreal feel to your painting. The composition and format is great! Unfortunately the narrow images seem to get lost on the main image pages, I have obviously overlooked it several times. LF
Jerry Bokowski replied:
Thank you, Malanda. This was done soon after my long hiatus from painting. My daughter really liked it so it is now hanging in their vacation home in Mexico!

Carol, Skyscapes are one of my favorite subjects and I'm so glad you noticed this...it is one of those paintings, narrow and all, that needs a nice frame...some of the FAA frames look really nice with the painting! Thank you so very much for taking your time to visit and comment on my work! Regards, JERRY
