Description
This was taken on the last day of February 2015. The clouds were like a splash of molten gold out of a dark smoking smelting vat. This was a small fraction of what was going on in the western sky but a very beautiful fraction!

This is the kind of art that sells now. People copy the shows and magazines for something to put a little color in their drab rooms that mean nothing and show nothing discernable. Your paintings and mine generally show real life beautiful scenery or nature. This is one of the few that may fit that criteria. They say you can tell where a society is at by what is popular in art. I have been trying to make some of my art just senseless brush marks with some colors that would "go with" people’s decor but I find it hard to do. This one has beautiful shapes and sizes and color and looks like a human could have done it instead of God which is what they want now...which I don't not understand fully. Anyway I like it and it would look great in a very upscale trendy house. Your art is so beautiful! L/F

Susanna, I owe you an apology as when I uploaded this I missed the photo/ art icon. But I agree 100% in what you have to say about the "Artocracy" in today's 'art'. I work days or weeks on one painting only to have people at an art show reward someone with a best in show that someone spent a few hours on a work that is so unremarkable. Still, I stay true to my work, determined to get better with each work. Thank you so much for the words you wrote. I appreciate each and every one of them!

This is quite a spectacular and unusual sunset image, at first glance, the shapes and colours are not recognizable but more in keeping with your description of "molten gold out of a dark smoking smelting vat"! Awesome capture Jerry! LF
