Description
Catalina mountain sunset is a painting I did for the owner of one of Tucson Arizona's finest restaurants, Anthony's In The Catalinas back in 1994. During its 25 year run it garnered some of the most prestigious awards possible several times over including The Wine Spectator's GRAND award for the world's best wine list and DiRoNa Award for excellence in fine dining, the best of the best! My family enjoyed dining perfection for anniversaries and special occasions for over 20 years as well as my daughter's wedding reception for 125 people. Anthony treated us like we were celebrity, royalty, family each time we dined there. I was humbled and yet proud that my painting was on display there for eighteen years. This image was scanned from an original 35mm slide at high resolution so that I could offer prints to those that have a love for Finger Rock and the Catalina Mountains of Tucson, Arizona !

Paying a revisit to this moody, soulful painting Jerry. The color, blending in the clouds, purple cast and light on the back clouds are just fantastic! You should be very proud of this painting hanging in a place like Anthony's for so long!
