Description
This Butterfly was painted for my wife, best friend and soul mate. She has always loved "Flutterbys" as she often calls them so it was time to surprise her with this painting!
Butterflies are such amazing critters...it is almost a miracle that metamorphosis from homely caterpillars can completely transform them into beautiful butterflies....and the variety of types, colors and sizes is mind boggling!
The Arizona Sonoran Desert has a variety butterflies to enjoy. This was a huge change of pace for me and a lot of fun too! It gave me a new perspective on these delicate, gentle and incredibly beautiful creations! Our beautiful mountains that surround us on all sides, early morning atmospheric conditions, giving a lovely soft mood to this piece.

Wow!....love this butterfly, which used to be called Flutterbys years ago. Bet your wife loved this. The lighting around the butterfly makes it look magical. Love your description too! When I was a teenager, I loved the Doors and used to draw the butterfly from their album, everywhere. Fave
