Right here in my acre of Sonoran Desert, in Vail, Arizona, Mama Dove was very creative and built her nest on my ladder. I went to use it and she looked at me like, "Are you kidding?! NOT YET!!!"....so I put off my job and waited till her two young ones flew the coupe.
My wife Janet, and photographer, has been wanting me to post this so how can I not?...two gals against one guy! This is also dedicated to FAA photographer Heather King....her photos of Owls are world class and her love for birds is second to none!
I have been in awe of the deserts, mountains, and canyons of the great southwest for over 50 years. Atmospheric events like sunrise and sunsets, approaching storms and monsoon rains, fog and mist, snow, or moonlit nights, just add to the beauty of Arizona and Utah landscapes. This is what inspires a passion within me to capture the mood, drama, and majesty of being there....from being at the foot of a majestic crag or on top of a summit overlooking a distant valley below. I paint real places that one can visit and see. Whether it be Finger Rock of the Catalina Mountains,The Sentinel in Zion National Park, or Mather Point at the Grand Canyon, it is my goal and desire to have my paintings draw a viewer to them and that they become...

This is just way too cute. This is the hideaway places the Mama Doves chose to nest, in the past, but this year for the first time in two separate cactus I followed two Mama Doves. This is so inventive of Mama Dove to make a nest atop a 2x4. I love this and yes I wanted it posted. Photography needs to be fun too. A GREAT CAPTURE!!! πand favorite ππππ
