Description
Few people that visit magnificent Zion National Park, see it from this view. Most view Zion from along the Virgin River Valley looking up at the massive sandstone cliffs. Here though we look down at the white sand stone cliffs. Janet and I have hiked part of the West Rim Trail starting at Scout Lookout. There the Angels Landing traill forks to the left to end up at this view and to the right is a jumble of rocks and safety chains that leads to Angels Landing.
To the upper left corner we can see the distant West Temple. Along the trail we see a fallen dead tree among Yuccas and Golden Columbine Blooms. Weather and rain can create sublime combination of mood and light along with rain scented wind.
I feel like we're on top of the world in beautiful solitude!
