Finger Rock Canyon during a rare winter snow in Tucson is an awesome sight.
I decided to focus on Mount Kimball and let Finger Rock play a supporting role.
A small break in the clouds can often lead to a dramatic feast for the eyes as the sun illuminates a mountain peak. The cold snowy canyon contrasts with the warm light on the snow capped mountain. Snow in the desert can be a real treat for us desert dwellers and usually melts way too soon.

Congratulations on your shows at the Tucson Airport,Tubac etc.You are so right about Tucson and its rare snow but when I lived near and outside Gates Pass we had snow. It is amazing that the saguaro cactus can survive the snow. Your landscapes just keep getting more beautiful each year. I would be willing to bet you will sell a ton of this image.

CONGRATULATIONS JERRY...JULY 2020 FAA TONY AWARD WINNER!! This is one of my favorites of your Desert beauties! It boasts WINTER DESERT BEAUTY in GRAND SCALE! This could be a PRAYER... Underpinning all of your work is a CONSISTENT emotive respect for the deep contrasts of Light and Shadow as well as earthen colours set against emboldened, dramatic skies!! Enjoy this award...so well deserved! LF
